The students will be able to gain points for the quarter through written and/or skill tests. A written summary of any sports article (relating to the current lesson plan) from a newspaper or magazine will earn 5 points. The summary should be at least -6-8 sentences in length and include a copy of the article. A sports article taken off the Internet must be at least one page in length about an activity we have done in class in the past week. This article must also include a 6-8 sentence summary and a copy of the article. The student will earn 5 points. The student may also gain points by running laps around the basketball court in the main gym after class has been dismissed to dress. Two laps will be worth one point. Make up points must be completed by Friday of the week following that in which they were missed to get credit. If you are out sick or have a planned absence, you know what needs to be done to make up for missed points. It will be the responsibility of the student to earn required points. Every student in the class can earn a good grade by participating each day and making up points for missed classes.
